Capsules Delayed Release

Duodenal ulcer. Adults: 15 mg daily before breakfast for 4 weeks.

Maintenance of healed duodenal ulcer.

Adults: 15 mg once daily.

Duodenal ulcers associated with

H. pylori.

Triple therapy: Lansoprazole, 30 mg, plus clarithromycin, 500 mg, and amoxicilin, 1 g, b.i.d. for 14 days. Double therapy: Lansopra-zole, 30 mg, plus amoxicillin, 1 g, t.i.d. for 14 days in those intolerant or resistant to clarithromycin.

Erosive esophagitis. 30 mg before eating for up to 8 weeks. If the client does not heal in 8 weeks, an additional 8 weeks of therapy may be given. If there is a recurrence, an additional 8-week course may be considered.

Maintenance of healed erosive esophagitis.

15 mg once daily for up to 12 months.

Pathologic hypersecretory conditions.

Initial: 60 mg once daily. Adjust the dose to client need. Dosage may be continued as long as necessary. Doses up to 90 or 120 mg (in divided doses) daily have been given.
