1. Use caution when using oral hygiene aids.

2. Brush teeth with a soft-bristle tooth brush.

3. Report any unusual bruising or bleeding; advise others esp. dentist of prescribed therapy, before surgery or new meds added.

4. Practice another form of contraception if receiving ampicillin, anti-convulsants, phenylbutazone, rifam-pin, or tetracycline. These may cause intermittent bleeding and the drug interactions could result in an unwanted pregnancy.
