Frontal lobe lesions

These may be associated with:

Personality changes, such as disinhibition, impaired judgement, lack of initiative, irritability and jocularity. Expressive aphasia: involvement of the posterior part of the left inferior frontal gyrus. Hemiparesis: projection fibres in the posterior frontal lobe traversing the white matter to the corona radiata and internal capsule. Gaze preference.

Primitive reflexes, such as forced grasping and the snout reflex.

Frequency and urgency of micturition.

Unilateral anosmia: pressure on the olfactory nerve.
