Electrocardiography: To reveal ventricular hypertrophy, ventricular dilatation, and axis deviation, although this test is not conclusive in itself and needs to be followed up with an ECHO.

Chest X-ray: May show cardiomegaly, pulmonary vascular congestion, alveolar or interstitial edema, or pleural effusions.

Other Tests: Serum electrolytes, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), liver enzymes, prothrombin time, colorflow mapping, and cardiac angiograms.
