fibrinogen concentration. By lowering the fibrinogen concentration, the enzyme acts as an anticoagulant and lowers plasma viscosity [75,78,80,81]. In addition, it stimulates the production of prostacyclin by endothelial cells, which inhibits platelet aggregation and formation of thrombi [82,83].
